BAYS Community Care
Program Description
BAYS Community Care (BCC) is a multi-faceted therapeutic intervention service for children and youth exhibiting behaviors making them susceptible to becoming involved in the Juvenile Justice System. Our counseling services are also geared toward high risk/high need children already involved Florida’s delinquency and/or dependency system. BAYS Community Care offers the following opportunities to youth and families with identified behavioral and/or mental health needs:
- Individual counseling
- Group counseling
- Family counseling
Services are conducted in both clinic and home settings, and can also be provided in schools, child welfare facilities, probation and parole offices/aftercare systems and mental health facilities.
Our goal is to provide high quality therapeutic services to youth and families, that create a lasting behavioral change by increasing protective factors and decreasing the risk factors currently impacting the family. We value every client and aim to have a positive impact on our clients, and each community that we serve by addressing mental and behavioral health concerns and creating healthier communities.
Provision of Services
- Targets at-risk youth and their families
- Use of evidence-based practices and latest research
- Focuses on positive behavioral change and decreasing the risk factors
- Therapeutic services provided by Licensed and master’s Level Clinicians.
- Creation of treatment plan to assist youth and family meet the established goals.
Population Served
BAYS Community Care aims to offer services to youth and families with identified mental health needs who are eligible for Medicaid or self-pay. The population served by BCC may be at risk of entering the child welfare or juvenile justice system, at risk for out of home placement or may be demonstrating behaviors that are affecting the youth’s safety and placement status.
Priority Services Provided to:
- Youth with anti-social behavior
- Behavioral and/or Mental Health
- Aggressive, conduct disorder
- Mood Disorder
- School behavior referrals
- Truant and drop-out
- Family Conflict
ELIGIBILITY
BCC services are offered to youth and families with identified mental health needs who are eligible for Medicaid or self-pay. Current involvement and/or at risk of involvement in the child welfare or juvenile justice system. Behaviors include:
- Anti-social behavior
- Aggression
- Truancy
- Substance abuse
- Family conflict
Community Partnership
Working together with community organizations, BAYS Community Care offers effective mental health services to children and youth in the State of Florida.
